Facilities Overview
VVIS has amongst the most advanced school facilities in Portugal. As a fairly new school, VVIS has had to abide by various European and Ministry of Education requirements including disability access and amenities, spacious classrooms and ample recreation and eating areas. Our on site theatre and arts centre is host to music and drama activities and also functions as an inspiring and peaceful room for art classes. Vale Verde also conducts all of its Physical Education classes on site, in its purpose built sports field suitable for football, basketball, tennis and a host of other team and individual sports. VVIS also has two multimedia suites suitable for interactive lessons and class generated presentations. With more than one computer per classroom and with a computer suite with enough computers for every student, VVIS was early in embracing technology and continues to update its teaching methods with the most effective delivery options.
All classrooms meet internal and external criteria for the effective delivery of education. In terms of equipment and resources, Vale Verde spends a healthy part of its annual budget on ensuring that materials are kept up to date and that teachers have the widest range of resources on offer.
